Established in 2017, the Fresh Food Co-op is a small market stocked with rescue food from Whole Foods, Sprouts and Trader Joe’s. For a small fee or a donation of time, families can shop for fresh produce, fruit, dairy, prepared items, and shelf-stable food.

The Fresh Food Co-op operates out of New Hope Community Church and serves families of students at the following schools.
Families who are referred to the program pay $15/month or volunteer 6 hours/month to join which allows them to shop once a week for 3 days of food (3 meals per family member per day).
Having been out of the workforce for almost 12 years, I was devastated when I found myself to be a single parent of seven children, and sharing 50% of the responsibilities of an infant grandson. I had no idea how i was going to be able to feed, house and cloth those children. Thankfully, the parent liaison from my childrens’ elementary school referred me to The Fresh Food Co-op. I was a little apprehensive about using another food pantry due to feeling like a burden at other local pantries. It was so nice to feel at home going to The Fresh Food Co-op, and seeing other parents from my childrens’ school. The registration process took just minutes, and the shopping experience was amazing.
